MOVE FROM SURVIVING TO THRIVING......
This project aims to reduce the social isolation experienced by people with mental health issues, living within our inner city communities. Through a structured program of group work and tailored one-to-one support the project enables participants to identify and achieve personal goals, work towards better social integration and develop pathways to a healthier, more positive and sustainable life experience.
We offer up to 6 months of one to one peer mentoring for people using mental health services in Lambeth and Southwark. Our peer mentors are all highly trained and all have a lived experience of using mental health and / or addiction services. We are networked with a myriad of different mental health sector organizations and service providers in and around Lambeth and Southwark, so our mentors are regularly updated about services that may be useful to the people they are working with.
This initiative also includes the Urban Foxx Project. The Urban Foxx Project is our office clearance / light removals service that helps the project remain financially sustainable. Any furniture or household / office items that are safe to use (and still usable) are donated to the service users who we support.
